The Eaters are powerful with appetites greater than themselves. They are about the same size as a human, but that is where the similarities end. They appear to have their brains exposed with no intervening skull and no eyes, but they do have a beak at their front. Hanging down from this brain mass are a score of tendrils, each more than strong enough to take a man by itself.
The Eaters seem to fly everywhere and are therefore more nimble than they appear. They have criss-crossed the continent in hollow, grey tubes with periodic holes. Entering these holes is not wise, as the Eaters themselves hide within, waiting to strike at the unwary foolish enough to tempt their domain.
